Art & Culture to
214th Independence Day of Paraguay
A festive exhibition
214 Years of Independence & Nivaclé Art from the Chaco
Paraguay is celebrating – and we’re celebrating with it!
On May 14, 1811, Paraguay declared its independence—a significant moment for the country and its people. Today, 214 years later, we honor this day not only with memories of history, but also with a look at the vibrant culture and creativity that make Paraguay so unique.
In this festive exhibition, we encounter the fascinating world of the Nivaclé artists from the Paraguayan Chaco. Using nothing more than a simple ballpoint pen, they create complex, richly detailed works depicting animals, plants, and scenes from their habitat. Each line speaks of a deep connection to nature, of knowledge passed down through generations – quiet, precise, and full of expressiveness.
This art is more than just aesthetics – it is a silent act of self-assertion, a testimony to cultural identity and creative power.
Let us celebrate together: the freedom, the diversity and the voices that are often overlooked but speak all the louder – through art, through memory, through community.
¡Viva el Paraguay libre! 🇵🇾
Yaj'ämham, Nivaclé – We see you.
